MayBall 09

Introduction

The University of Derby Students' Union May Ball 09 will take place at the Kedleston Road site on Friday May 8th. This year we have five arenas spanning a multitude of musical genres, state of the art sound and light shows, a fun fair, food outlets and all the extras you would expect from the biggest party of the year.

We have some quality artists lined up this year including: The Young Knives, The Noisettes, D Ramirez, Trophy Twins and The Subways (DJ set) plus our main stage line up. You can check out all the acts on this site, most have links to MySpace or their websites — so have a listen, if you haven’t heard of them you might be surprised as you’ll probably recognise their songs.

We have no doubt that this is one of the biggest student events in the UK, more like a mini festival, running from 9.30pm to 6am the following morning, with over 3,500 students attending — THIS IS ONE NOT TO MISS, WHATEVER YEAR YOU'RE IN

Headline acts this year include the Noisettes, the Wombats, DJ Ironik, Fan Death and a DJ set from the Hoosiers.

Remember we have a jam-packed lineup that will keep you up all night and partying until the early hours.
